Elisa Bruder is an artist who continuously pushes the boundaries between dance, theatre, and performance, always seeking new ways to expand the language of the body and the expressive power of the stage (and non stage).
She began her studies with a Bachelor‘s degree in Art Education at the Zurich University of the Arts (2019-2022), where she focused on performance. She then started working with the Urban & Contemporary Dance Company „TeKiTeKua“, performing on various stages and events (such as Zürcher Theaterspektakel, Zeughauskeller Brig, 50Jahre Frauenrecht etc.). Elisa Bruder also worked as a dance and movement instructor and dance educator at different schools and took on directing assistant roles at „Bühne Aarau“ and „Theater Marie“. Elisa built then a solid foundation in stage dance through the ZTTS training program in Zurich. This intensive dance training laid the groundwork for her later approach. Her artistic development was further enriched by various advanced training programs in Berlin, where she gained new insights and perspectives while engaging deeply with the European dance and performance scene.
Currently, Elisa is intensifiying her artistic career through a Master‘s degree in Physical Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri in Ticino, which she is pursuing from 2023 to 2025. This course allows her to refine her physical expressiveness and elevate her artistic practice to a new level. Not only does she expand her technical repertoire but also discovers new possibilities for interdisciplinary work and innovative performance formats.
